The ITS II performs duties in the Software Engineering and Information Technology

The ITS II supports mission critical production systems after hours and on call as required and carries a high degree of responsibility to maintain system uptime and secure highly sensitive data, maintains consistent and predictable attendance, and works under pressure to meet work demands. The ITS II shall have a working knowledge of various industry trends and technology solutions. The ITS II will act independently in a highly complex technical specialist position and will lead more complex information technology (IT) projects and research. The ITS II will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing solution architectures for existing and new application and database, networking, data integrity and information security. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, Chief of the Informatics Data Exchange and Applications Section (IDEAS), the Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) will serve as a solution architect and support multiple IT systems, applications and databases, including Center for Infectious Disease (CID) IT systems, HIE Gateway, and Rhapsody projects.
